Announcement

At the time I'm writing this, it's been way over a year since any meaningful content was posted to this forum. Also, the last and final version of I Hate Mountains was released almost three years ago. Which is why I believe it is time to definitely pull the plug on this forum which is going to remain in a readonly format from now on.

A warm 'thank you' to everyone that contributed to this project in a way or another! If you really need to contact the team, feel free to shoot us an email, our contact information is right here : http://www.ihatemountains.com/contact-us/

I have the campaign on my dedicated server

hey if you want to play this with 4 on a non local server (if it's not busy) I'm offering it on mine:

as lobby leader, when in the lobby, type mm_dedicated_force_Servers 95.211.15.150:27015

(not guaranteed though, cause my server is quite busy and hopefully when you try it's empty)

Re: I have the campaign on my dedicated server

You can direct IP connect to my server (Australia):
203.219.133.22:27015
I'll put a second one up in the next few days.

Re: I have the campaign on my dedicated server

My server (located in Spain) only has good pings in South-Europe.
balari.dyndns.org:27017

Checked it, works perfectly with IHM. Now I have to find time to play sad

Re: I have the campaign on my dedicated server

Does anyone have a way of disallowing the default campaigns to be voted, and to automatically restart the campaign once the finale is finished?

Re: I have the campaign on my dedicated server

To restart on the first IMH map: have you tried to change the default starting map of the server? On unix dedicated server, it is a parameter on the command line launching the L4D server:
+map map_name

Yeah, the server starts on the first map, but people can still lobby connect to a different campaign or call a vote to change. I do have Sourcemod installed, so if you know of an SM plugin that will do it that would be good too.

My fallback is to create a <map name>.cfg for each of the other maps that will automatically change to the first IHM map, but that could get really annoying for people who lobby connect just to get disconnected because of map change.

Re: I have the campaign on my dedicated server

I did it by editing the mapcycle.txt, missioncycle.txt and maplist.txt files on the server. It makes it impossible to load any other campaign than I Hate Mountains. At least it seems to work, but I can't be sure.

Re: I have the campaign on my dedicated server

You can get the Vote Manager plugin for Sourcemod to keep people from voting on a new map.

I've got a server up too:
